The Waitsfield Historical Society prepared a self guided tour for the Bicentennial, 1791-1991 titled "Waitsfield Village Historic District Walking Tour ". It takes you along Rt. 100 from the Gen. Wait House, to the Covered Bridge on Bridge Street and back, telling the story of homes built in the 1800's. The Gen. Wait House is the only one built in 1793 but moved to it's present location around 1830. Brochures can be picked up at the Information Center at the Gen. Wait House at no charge which is always open.
